Le Chant des Ruines
Michèle Noiret | Compagnie Michèle Noiret
National premier | Dance-cinema for 5 dancers and a cameraman
In this survival guide to the 21st century, Michèle Noiret's work, created in collaboration with David Drouard, reinvents her choreographic composition and her way of fusing the languages of dance and cinema.
Fires, violence, and pollution attack from all directions the five characters on stage, who strive to resist the assault of the ambient chaos that surrounds them. Threatened for an hour, the dancers express the strength of those who hang on to life, the urge to flee but also irony and humor, to not lose hope for a better world.
In a light and interactive stage set-up, combining cardboard boxes and live video, Le Chant des ruines turns an inquiring gaze to our society in perpetual transformation.
Le Chant des ruines by Michèle Noiret: an aesthetic exploration of deconstruction (…) and offers a magnificent and timely punch in the face.
