Paper Travels

David Fauquemberg

David Fauquemberg, writer

Ernest Hemingway, Luis Sepúlveda, Francisco Coloane, Bruce Chatwin, Álvaro Mutis. The list of writers we can connect to the theme of travel is nearly endless. In fact, every novel and every short story could compose the pages of a great anthology on travel. Yet, there are writers who, more than others, excel at depicting places and manage to transport readers far beyond the walls of their homes. From their experiences as travelers, they craft unforgettable stories that tell us something deeper about humanity and ourselves. David Fauquemberg shares his experience as a writer-traveler, moving between his successful novels Nullarbor (Hoëbeke, 2007) and Mal tiempo (Fayard, 2009), as well as his reports and short stories.

He is a theater critic, author of guides for Dakota and Gallimard, a writer and translator, and a reporter for the magazines XXI and Géo. In 2009, he published the Cuban adventure Mal tiempo, which was released by Keller in Italy in 2012.
